Good Veggies, Bad Veggies for Pesticide Residue

veggies The Enviromental Working Group is out with their annual list of conventionally grown fruits and vegetables with the highest amount of pesticide residue ("Dirty Dozen") and the lowest amount of pesticides ("Clean Fifteen"). Spinach and strawberries top the bad list, while pineapples and sweet corn top the good list.

Man Loses +$1-mil in Customer Service/Romance Scam

When a retired senior had a problem with Apple Pay, he googled their phone number. First mistake. It was a scam listing where he was directed to buy gift cards and provide their numbers to protect his money. Second mistake. And then he started having personal chats with the woman on the line, fell for her sad story, and gave his gold and silver bars to a courier for safekeeping. Third mistake. Consumer Reports is out with their list of best sunscreens for 2025. Some of the best ones are relatively cheap. For example, Coppertone Water Babies lotion got a perfect score of 100 and only costs $8 (and it's not just for babies!).
