Many cereals have downsized in the past year, but now they have a new way to mislead shoppers about their product sizes. Some big companies are changing the size names of their products to make you think you are getting more than you really are.

There's a rule-of-thumb that you shouldn't spend more than 30% of your income on housing. Applying that rule to actual rents being charged in big cities, yields a chart of how much you have to earn to afford an apartment in those places. Hold onto your wallet!
Food prices are rising like crazy with the food-at-home index rising 13.5%. Some categories of groceries, however, are rising much more. Eggs have gone up almost 40%. Butter and flour are up almost 25%. See the other categories of groceries that are up higher than average.
Most people are paying crazy prices for cable television these days. Consumer Reports set out to see if they could put together a package of mostly streaming services to see if they could cut their bill down to about $25 a month. Here are the services they bought, and the channels they will get for a fraction of the price of cable.
