Last week, we took a critical look at the reward program at Walgreens. Now it is CVS' turn. We examine their ExtraBucks rewards program and demonstrate how using those dollars-off coupons could cost you money.

Sometimes we forget that restaurants are businesses trying to make a profit. Here are some of the tricks used by some of them on menus to steer you toward higher profit items. One the latest ploys is the use of "ghost kitchens" where perhaps a famous name restaurant uses a separate independent kitchen to prepare meals for home delivery.
Several weeks ago, a federal judge struck down some provisions of the Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare"). The import of that law is that some procedures and medications for preventive care had to be provided free under most health insurance policies. Now the worry is that some procedures like free screening colonoscopies and preventive drugs such as for high cholesterol or HIV could end. That means health insurers might start charging higher copays for them.
