    Bargain of the Week

    Get 4% Interest on Savings

If you are tired of the puny interest paid by your local bank, consider an online savings account at Dollar Savings Direct where they are paying an incredible (for these times) 4% interest. This is a new division of the 150 year old Emigrant Saving Bank in New York. The twist on this new bank is that they require a minimum balance of $1000. But, they charge no fees, and they promise to be "America's Highest Rate" for similar accounts. To open an account, you transfer money from your brick and mortar checking account electronically to them (or you can send a check). Withdrawals go back electronically to your local bank. ++
