sale Whether it is a going out of business sale, or a liquidation sale "this weekend only" at the local convention center, consumers are being tantalized with huge ad campaigns promising bargains. Are there real deals? Don't assume, compare prices. And in San Diego last week, shoppers were furious when they couldn't find the advertised bargains at a four-day liquidation sale.

Grocery Chains to Offer Free Antibiotics

pillsIf you live in the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic states, you are in luck this winter because Stop & Shop and Giant Food are both offering free prescriptions of antibiotics. Until March 21, you get can up to a 14-day supply of 36 different generic antibiotic formulations free (with a prescription, of course). Here is the list of covered drugs [pdf]. Maybe stores in other parts of the country will adopt a similar program.
