    NHTSA Proposes Restricting Use of Electronic Devices in the Car

    To cut down on distracted driving, NHTSA is proposing voluntary guidelines for gadget makers, such as GPS units and cellphones. Included are recommendations to disable texting on cellphones and entering destinations in a GPS unit while the car is in motion.
