Decoding Retailers' Price Tags

sale There actually is a method to retailers' price tag madness. At Costco, for example, prices that end in 97, 88, 00 are markdowns, whereas those ending in 49, 79 or 89 are manufacturers' specials. Get Offered a Cheaper Hotel Rate with BackBid

Many people don't like using Priceline or Hotwire to save on hotel costs because you don't know the name or exact location of the hotel you will wind up with until you pay your money. Now another site has come along called BackBid which aims to get you a better hotel rate. You have to first make a refundable reservation elsewhere on your own at the best price you can find. Then, you submit that reservation to BackBid, and other area hotels compete for your business by offering you (and you alone) lower prices. Be sure to read the cautions about this service.
