Are Plastic Bottles Safe? A forthcoming government report is expected to raise health concerns about plastic bottles, particularly those with a squirt top or straw that you refill with water or other beverages. The suspect bottles have a 3, 6, 7 in the middle of the recycling symbol on the bottom.
